I was reading a number of blogs the other day when I came across one in particular – like many others I’ve seen in the past have to say – offering to Reveal the Secrets of Internet Marketing. Many people have made that offer already and mostly simply talk you through the steps of making a website on video, uploading it to a hosting company, connecting up to a transponder etc. I wouldn’t call that a secret! It’s important to a newbie of course but you can have the best looking website in the world and get zero sales if you have no one going to look at it. So surely that’s a secret worth revealing though I have to add if everyone is offering these secrets on line in some form or other what is secret about them? Isn’t there a saying along the lines a secret revealed is a secret no more?

The first thing you may hear when you come onto the Internet is the money is in the list and maybe another old saying so often repeated, if you continue to do what you have always done then you will get what you’ve always got. All true of course but hardly a secret. Maybe you are banging your head against a (metaphorical) brick wall but you cannot see how to change things. Perhaps even though you do not lack incentive or motivation by what you are doing you find it frustrating because it is not yielding good results.
